Smarter by Pfaff -- c1100 pro .. review




i got this machine about a month ago. i traded up from a pfaff ambition 1.0. a thread cutter was important to me because i started to work on whole quilt applique. 

this machine has speed (1200 spm. faster than the bernina 820) and is strong. there are other great features like, a leg lift, 9mm stitches, built in walking foot, bright led lights, thread cutter, needle up down via foot pedal, and a full stitch manipulation... mirror, flip, lengthen.


when i bought mine the "quilters tool box" was a free gift. it came with some great quilting feet and a huge table.


the machine does everything it claims to do. and does it well.


i love decorative stitches, and this machine makes great dense ones. i had to tinker with the stitch balance but, now they are perfect.

the bobbin is a nice front loading one.

the only issue ive had is the low bobbin light sometime does not come on. mostly due to fuzz/lint in the bobbin area.


ill add more as i have the machine longer.

It is Labor Day weekend! I love this holiday .... I'm having a sale on my Etsy to celebrate the cooler weather coming. George and I are making quilts and going to New Orleans parades this weekend. So much fun. I was out shopping and saw this hilarious pic! Mirror images are not who we are! I am the person I see reflected in the faces of people who love me. Although ... I did take this selfie today, too. Quilt stuff? I'm making a star quilt for my bed. It will be partially scraps and partially other fabrics that were gifted to me or bought. Free motion quilting -

I love free motion quilting.  I draw shapes. Whatever shapes happen to develop while Im quilting. Ive been quilting for about 11 years. Truthfully, I find that I make the same shapes over and over. Lots of curvy circles, mixed in with sharp edges. I also like to echo the shapes into each other.
